Ethiopia is an ancient country. Listed in the Bible, it is known as the land of Sheba. The Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon to examine his great wisdom and wealth.
Today modern Ethiopia is a land of where history and culture collide. Situated on the Horn of Africa facing the Middle East. This arid country is surrounded by Somalia, Sudan, and Kenya to the south. It is in a strategic position for taking the Gospel into the Middle East and other unreached countries.
Though over 60% of the population claims Christianity. Religious superstition and tradition has left them with little true Biblical training and power.
BBMI is seeking to change that.
In 2013 we pioneered the first BBMI trip to meet with leadership in the cities of Addis Ababa and Mekele. In 2014 we are planting our first Bible Institute class to strengthen local pastors.
The hunger for the Word is amazing among the Churches! Every meeting is marked by a mighty Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We prayerfully look forward to hundreds of leaders being trained in the next few years. Pray with us for these wonderful people and Get INVOLVED!
